Privacy policy

This policy describes what data Mediator (mediator8.ru) collects, why, and how long it is kept.
1. Who processes your data
The data controller is the owner of the Mediator service available at mediator8.ru. You can reach us at privacy@mediator8.ru.
2. What we collect
At registration: email address, password hash, name (if you provide one) and interface language. In use: duration of timer and practice sessions, voice diary recordings, their transcripts, numeric state scores and short summaries, plus timestamps. Technical data: the request IP address, used to pick your language, and session cookies.
3. Why we do it
The data is needed to run the service: keep your progress, transcribe and analyse entries, show your dynamics, keep you signed in and protect the service from abuse. We do not use your recordings for advertising and do not sell them.
4. Sharing with third parties
For speech recognition and text analysis, recordings are sent to Alibaba Cloud (DashScope, Singapore region). Only the audio file and its transcript are transmitted — never your email, name or account identifiers. No other sharing takes place except where required by law.
5. Where data lives and for how long
Audio and text data are stored on a server in the Russian Federation. Entries are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, all entries, transcripts and audio files are permanently erased.
6. Your rights
You can change your data in settings at any time, read your diary content in the history section, and delete your account with all data. Consent to processing is withdrawn by deleting the account.
7. Security
Connections are protected with TLS. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Audio files are not reachable by direct link: they are served only to their owner after a session check.
8. Children
The service is not intended for people under 16.
9. Changes
The current version is always published on this page. We announce material changes by email.
